If I do not accept your current insurance, you may be able to have therapy sessions covered accessing your plan’s out-of-network (OON) benefits. Check with your insurance about OON behavioral health benefits to learn more. I utilize a platform to make this easy and fast, without up-front costs or waiting for lengthy reimbursement periods.

Many clients pay for therapy using funds from their FSA/HSA accounts. Check whether this option might be right for you.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who choose not to use their insurance, an estimate of expected charges for medical services — including psychotherapy. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
